A Naked and Famous is a modern cocktail that combines equal parts of mezcal, yellow Chartreuse, Aperol, and lime juice. It's a complex and vibrant drink with smoky, herbal, and citrusy flavors, offering a unique twist on classic cocktail profiles.

The Naked and Famous Cocktail is the creation of Joaquin Simo of Death & Co on the Lower East Side of NYC. I hadn’t heard of the drink until a few weeks ago when it was introduced to me by the nice people at The Hawthorne in Kenmore Square, Boston. A great craft bar, by the way, with knowledgeable waitstaff and great bartenders. 1 ounce coffee liqueur. 1/2-ounce simple syrup. 3 coffee beans, for garnish. To prepare an Espresso Martini, combine vodka, espresso, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds.
