Most people leave the TA lever forward most of the time because you then have dynamic braking using the engine. This made the hood about 1" too short. 706 with a german diesel should have shorter frame rails and thicker rear engine plate already. We have a problem with the high/low linkage staying in the low position while the handle goes over to the reverse gate. Use a pry bar to lightly push the linkage back to the middle position and all is well again. I can't remember the number but its on the list. It is now back up in North Dakota. The 1468 went to Illinois. I do know of another 1568 black stripe in the area as well as a few more 1468 and 1568 red and whites. The pony motor has electric or rope start. I just bought a 54 400 diesel and I believe a 54 Super C. It’s missing the serial number but the guy told me it was bought at the same time. So check those cords. Have burnt several cords the last 50 years, but never more than the cord. Been lucky i guess, see the burnt cord right up to a grease covered block. A "brand" means more $$ but alot more issues, you keep $ 5-7% $25K/wk (10 years ago) just kept the doors open. $1m per location startup. The WDR-9 was a rice version of the WD-9. There was also a WR-9. They had things like squared-off fenders and foot decelerators for rice farming. There was also a WR-9-S, but I don't know what made the WR-9-S different from the WR-9. There was also a Super WDR-9. Here's a pic of a WR-9: New rod bolts. Check valve recession in cylinder head, make sure injectors have a good spray pattern an opening pressure is at spec. Measure backlash in timing gears and cam end play. We had 2 of the 1855's for about 15 years. After they reached 5 years old there were constant engine problems. The 1750 used this engine, then the 1755-1955.
