Jeep wrangler p0300 - Aug 17, 2011 · I get code p0300, random cylinder misfire, and sometimes one or more codes to a specific cylinder (P030X). There are no symptoms - no engine running rough, doesn't die, etc. I can't reliably reproduce the code after blowing it out with the reader, but so far it seems off-roading or bumpy roads (vibration) will set it off. None of which has worked.

Basically the O2 sensor is seeing too much oxygen in the exhaust right out of the engine before the catalytic converter. I would check for a crack in the exhaust manifold or a bad exhaust gasket. Here is one more thing, after erasing the codes the jeep runs great for the next drive.Threw a code for a drivers side upstream o2 a few months back, bought new sensor but CEL turned off so never installed new sensor. A couple of weeks ago, new CEL, codes were P0430, P2308 and P0300 and the jeep started running rough, did not want to go much over 40 mph, would shudder around 40 mph and CEL started flashing..
