Just moved and upgraded old equipment with what I thought was a new DVR and 4 other non DVR. When hooking up last non DVR, got the XRE message. 3 trips to chat support re-established all 5 tv's for a short period, then one tv with a non DVR would revert to the XRE message. The only thing on a user level you can try is to unplug the power cord from the back of the Xfinity box for 30 seconds- and then plug it back in to fully reboot the box. While you work through a resolution you can try to reactivate the box by going to Xfinity.com/activate. If the box had been working then perhaps a code was changed on your account somehow (was there any contact with Comcast for any reason recently?).
